The M5 delivers the most advanced iPad experience yet, combining astonishing processing power and AI capabilities in the ultra-portable iPad Pro design. With a next-generation GPU featuring a Neural Accelerator in each core, it provides iPad Pro users with performance far beyond previous models for everything from cutting-edge projects to AI-powered productivity.

The new iPad Pro delivers up to 3.5x faster AI performance compared to the M4-powered iPad Pro and is up to 5.6x faster than the M1-powered iPad Pro². Additionally, Apple's new N1 wireless network chip enables the latest generation of wireless technology, bringing Wi-Fi 7 to iPad Pro. Wi-Fi + Cellular models feature the C1X modem, delivering up to 50% faster mobile data performance compared to the previous generation, with improved efficiency.

M5: Taking iPad AI to the Next Level

With industry-leading Apple silicon performance, advanced technology, power efficiency, and AI capabilities, iPad has always stood in a class of its own. The M5 in iPad Pro brings an even more advanced GPU and CPU, and a faster Neural Engine, opening a new chapter for the iPad AI experience.

The 10-core GPU features a new architecture with a Neural Accelerator in each core, significantly enhancing GPU performance for AI workloads. The M5 achieves up to 3.5x faster AI performance compared to the M4 and up to 5.6x faster compared to the M1-powered iPad Pro.

Designed with on-device AI in mind, it accelerates various tasks such as diffusion model image generation with Draw Things and AI video masking in DaVinci Resolve. M5: A New Dimension of Performance

The M5 chip significantly enhances graphics and delivers the next level of processing power with a faster CPU. The third-generation ray tracing engine enables more realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows, making it ideal for visually demanding apps and games.

iPad Pro achieves up to 1.5x faster 3D rendering with ray tracing compared to the previous generation, and an astonishing up to 6.7x faster compared to the M1-powered iPad Pro.

The CPU features up to a 10-core configuration with four performance cores and six efficiency cores, boasting the world's fastest CPU cores. This is ideal for a wide range of users, including graphic designers handling complex vectors in Adobe Illustrator, architects multitasking daily across SketchUp and Morpholio Trace, and business users quickly accessing large files across multiple apps.

M5-powered iPad Pro Performance:

Faster Memory Bandwidth and Storage for More Seamless Multitasking

Increased unified memory bandwidth, faster storage read/write speeds, more standard unified memory, and fast charging support combine to further enhance overall speed and responsiveness. Unified memory bandwidth is over 150GB/s, an increase of approximately 30% compared to the previous generation. This allows for multitasking across more apps, faster processing of AI models, and smooth handling of demanding games. Storage read/write speeds are up to twice as fast. The 256GB/512GB models now offer 12GB of standard unified memory, a 50% increase over previous models, providing even greater value. Multitasking is more seamless with iPadOS 26's new windowing system, making complex workflows comfortable. Fast charging is also supported, allowing the iPad to charge up to 50%⁴ in about 30 minutes⁵ when using high-power USB-C power adapters, such as Apple's new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter (up to 60W compatible).

C1X and N1 Chips Debuting on iPad

Wi-Fi + Cellular models feature Apple's C1X mobile communication modem, with mobile data up to 50% faster than the M4-powered iPad Pro. Power consumption for mobile data use is also reduced by up to 30%. GPS and location services are available, allowing for more confident travel than ever before. With 5G support, it offers a connected experience worldwide, whether for work or vacation. eSIM allows for quick and secure addition or transfer of new plans digitally, keeping you in touch with family and friends whether you have Wi-Fi or not. It's also ideal for frequent business travelers and architects working in the field.

Unparalleled Design and Display

The iPad Pro achieves ultimate portability with its astonishingly thin and light design. Available in Space Black and Silver. The 11-inch model is just 5.3mm thin, and the 13-inch model is even thinner at 5.1mm. The world's most advanced Ultra Retina XDR display features groundbreaking tandem OLED technology, offering extreme brightness, astonishingly precise contrast, and support for ProMotion and True Tone. It supports 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness for both SDR and HDR, and a peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits. For color-critical workflows and challenging lighting conditions, an optional Nano-texture display glass is available to reduce reflections.
